August 23, 2005: Thinking Outside the Box:
TCC Explores Solution to School Overcrowding.

The Heritage Foundation’s Ronald Utt was the featured speaker at the
TCC’s Lunch and Learn. On August 23, 2005, Dr. Utt spoke about the use of public-private partnerships for building schools. The TCC has formally adopted a position paper* on the use of public-private partnerships. A panel of local officials and opinion leaders  followed Dr. Utt’s presentation.

Summary of the meeting*

July 21, 2005:  Candidates School a Huge Success: Approximately 25 people, including candidates for local office in the upcoming local elections, candidates for state-wide office, as well as those thinking about running filled the RRAR Board of Directors Boardroom on July 21, 2005 to learn how to run successful campaigns. The campaign school was taught by professional experts from around the country, and included a panel discussion by current and past elected leaders who shared their insights about what it takes to run a successful campaign.
